- CTO forum & BASIS organized a seminar on Cloud at Dhanmondi Recreation Club on Nov-30th, 6PM. The CTO forum chairperson humbly reminded BASIS president that none of the CTOs of the Banks and CIO of the Telco got invites to the eASIA event which is set to begin in leass than 12 Hrs!

- Seminar and workshop invites were sent to all-bcs members by samity@bcs.org.bd from Bangladesh Computer Samity at 11:20PM on Nov-30th.
Again, the eASIA event was set to begin in leass than 12 Hrs!

[Day: 01]

- The PM was to arrive. I know the security drill of No-Electronics, so I decided not to give a shit abt being there.

- There were Too many Booth-Whores. We have successfully started to let the Female-Teens feel like commodities in Bangladesh.

- The 1st floor cafe was closed for this event.

[Day-2]

- There was trash everywhere

- The outsourcing event went much overboard

- The Award ceremony was 50 minute late to start. Sound amplifation was bad.

ATN television and the Bangladesh Govt Officials

Its strange that Munir Hasan and Anir Chowdhury (Young Nite) is on ATN hosting their own shows.

I only wonder how can a person with serious Government responsibilities offer TV shows which they anchor ? I understand these TV Shows ( 1 hr shows) are all full-time responsibilities if someone is serious about it!

How are they performing on their Govt Jobs ?

Dumping 5000 Crore ($714.28 MM) Taka into DSE by Bangladesh Government

Bangladesh is a developing country. Stock Market was recently sabotaged by Influential ( political ties) & Corrupt (S.E.C. Personnel) Political Leaders and Securities Product Handlers ( RACE: Asset management Company headed by Dr. Hasan Imam among others) . The Stock Exchange (DSE) lost ~50% of its points. And now with the leadership of Finance Minister M.A Muhit, Govt is pouring in 5000 Crore ($714.2 MM) Taka into DSE without sighting how they plan to recover the money in the long run. This Madness is called “Bangladesh Fund”… fund managed by Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB).

From Financial Express of May 5th:

“The ICB is the sponsor of the fund and other seven state-owned enterprises are the joint sponsors. The joint sponsors are: Sonali Bank, Janata Bank, Agrani Bank, Rupali Bank, Bangladesh Development Bank, Sadharan Bima Corporation and Jibon Bima Corporation.

The ICB has contributed Tk 5 billion to the fund and the joint sponsors are supposed to contribute Tk 10 billion in total.

The source said, meanwhile, the fund manager of Bangladesh Fund has designed a guideline to invest its fund. As per the guideline, the fund manager will purchase the shares of the companies whose price earning (P/E) ratios are not above 20. The fund, however, would invest in stocks of banks and leasing companies having P/E ratios up to 10 and 15 respectively. “

I dont understand how it was to run into a 2hr presentation with QA.
Presenters names are not announced until the time of presentation
Most presenters backgrounds are not disclosed ahead of time.

Fakhrul Islam Securities ( http://www.fisbd.com/) offers Online Market Order which seems to be a great joke. My OMO account details was sent by FOKKA Fakhrul Islam Securities on the Nov 23rd…. and today Dec 6th, I still get “Your account is inactive now.”

Mid last week I called them and they said because of Eid ( Nov 17th) they have lot of back-logs and it will take 3 days to enaable my OMO service. Liars !!!!

Incompetent Liars !! They cant even enable my account…. let alone keep it up & running.

FOKKA seems to use the following portal for OMO enablement :

Each Meena Bazaar stealing ~43,000 taka from their customers per year!!!!

It was around 6PM, I was at the Dhanmondi-27th Meena Baazar, the register boy handed out the receipt and change … I looked … total bill 172.60… I gave him 200… the change was 27 even! I asked wheres the .40 ? The guy at the register said “…we do not give out change if it is less than .50″.

I was waiting for my ride to pull up, and was counting how many customers they serve every 15 minutes. From 6:16 PM to 6:31 PM ..I watched each isle serving around 4 customers….. 3 isles total so its 12 per 15 minutes …..48 per hour …..operates from 10 AM to 8 PM …..10 Hours serves 480 customers..say half of them don’t dont see the less-than-.50 change ….so its about 240 customers x .50 = 120 Taka per day for the Dhanmondi 27th Meena Bazzar only.

120 * 365 days = 43,600 Taka per Meena Baazar
Tax free money with Zero cost!
Keep robbing Meena Baazar !!!!!
